    Kitty Hart Kitty Hart - USA

    First teacher & current teacher

    My mum Florence Hart, has always been my main teacher but, I did have numerous lessons from other wonderful teachers whom I feel helped me along my journey as a successful dancer such as, Irene Baird Canada, Lynn Dickson Abbott Australia, and Anna Bain Scotland.

    Competitive highlights

    I would say to be Cowal 1984 to be runner up to Gregor Bowman and yourself!!! And my Gran was in there to see me in her wheel chair. She was so proud along with my mum, I could not stop crying on the stage.

    Favourite competition

    Favourite competition would have to be Cowal!

    Why is this your favourite?

    I grew up coming over there ever year since I was 9 yrs. And the level of intense energy is great! Everyone wants to win a cowal medal at least, if not, more than that...( Do you remember teasing me about my accent when we were lining up to go on stage at Cowal? I do, very distinctively! FUN Memories).
    Actually Kitty - yes!

    Dancing the Highland Fling in my wedding dress!!!

    Favourite dance & reason

    J.L. Mackenzie, and why, I love to dance it because it is different and I love the movements a bit like ballet. I also like the dedication to James, and my mum is a Mackenzie!

    Funniest dancing memory

    Funniest memory would have to be, laughing hysterically with Gareth Mitchelson, Gregor Bowman, and Gillian Greg lining up at Cowal when we were young!!! You don't even know how much you guys affected me, as to feeling like I was SO different coming from America, but yet, we all had so much in common...we all did highland dancing, and we all wanted to win!!!
